What is bereavement?
At some point in our lives, we’ll all experience the distress of losing a loved one, whether they’re a good friend or a family member.
Bereavement is the experience we go through following the death of someone close and we recognise it as the process of grieving. Though filled with all sorts of emotions, grieving serves an important purpose, helping us to deal with and accept our loss.
Bereavement counselling will help you work through the stages of grieving and help to accept your loss. It will also help to understand that any feelings of sadness, guilt, pain, or anger are perfectly normal while helping you accept that the grieving process is a natural and necessary part of life.
But getting through grief on your own can be hard. With confidential Bereavement counselling, you have a space where you can talk about the person you’ve lost and the emotions you’re feeling without judgement. Bereavement counselling can be a therapeutic, cathartic, and healing process.
